Marvel and DC female characters in films:

The videos show nearly all female superheroes in DC and marvel films. However, as one of the investigation indicated that there is a gender gap between male and female superheroes in these kinds of films.

This gender imbalance is about male and female images quantity appeared in the films and their showing time.

The audience obviously sees that male images are more than female images in superhero films, which give the mass people a sense of male characters have a dominant status in these films.

Gender Imbalance In Film: Women Under-Represented In Superhero Movies

Nonetheless, women images have been changed a lot since DC company publish the Wonder Woman film. The image of Wonder Woman inspires many girls to become independent and brave in the real world. Recent years, the audience can also see that many marvel films added female superheroes elements, such as Captain Marvel and Shuri in Black Panther1.
